[UPDATED] OIT Systems Maintenance, 2/9/2012 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 02/09/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during IRM maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 4:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected Services: Event Management System (EMS)
Affected Systems: Event Management System (EMS)
Description of Maintenance: Upgrade the EMS system with released patches, insert all buildings and rooms in the university as defined by OSUA, and increase security for associated websites by enforcing SSL to securing logins
User impact: EMS, Master Calendar, EmsWebClient, and VirtualEMS will be unavailable during this period
User Notifications: EMS users have been notified via email

When: 5:00 am – 7:00 AM
Affected Service:  Blackboard
Affected Servers: Bba1-6, bbm1, bbc1, bbc2
Description of Maintenance:  We will be applying a security patch to the black board servers.
User Impact: Minimal, down time is expected, maybe 5 to 10 minutes.
Notification: Users will be redirected to wordpress.fau.edu/irm/ and notification is being add within Blackboard.

When: 3:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected Service:  Graduate College Admissions Application
Affected Servers: owlapp.fau.edu, owlapp1.fau.edu, owlapp2.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance:  Due to a security fix in Internet Explorer we need to upgrade a component of the admissions application.
User Impact: The service will be offline between 3am and 6am.
Notification: Requests will be redirected to wordpress.fau.edu/irm/
