OIT Systems Maintenance, Thursday, March 29 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/29/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM
Affected services:  Blackboard, Identity Manager (IDM) Affected systems:  bbloracle, boc22ora03
Description:  The Blackboard and IDM database instances need to be restarted to correct a directory mount option to ensure daily backups occur.
User Impact: Blackboard and IDM will be unavailable at this time.

When: 4:30 AM – 5:00 AM
Affected services:  Banner
Affected systems:  bannerprd, sctcache1, sctcache2
Description:  The Banner database instance needs to be restarted to correct a directory mount option to ensure daily backups occur.
User Impact: Banner will be offline during this time.

When: 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Affected services:  MyFAU
Affected systems:  mcsource
Description:  An offline ldap re-indexing will take place in preparation for next week’s registration period.
User Impact: MyFAU will be unavailable during this time.  Mail delivery will be queued for all MyFAU and Google users.
