Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/13/2013 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: 5:00 – 7:00AM Affected services: Banner, Blackboard, ODS, Appworx, MyFAU email Affected systems: bocana01 & bocana02 (NetApp storage) Description of maintenance: Upgrade our NetApp filers bocana01/bocana02 from ONTAP 8.0.2P4 to ONTAP 8.1.2P4. User impact: We do not expect any end-user impact, but should something go wrong, the above mentioned services will be affected.
When: 5:00 – 7:00AM Affected Services: EMS Affected Systems: events.fau.edu(fauweb5,fauappsrv2,sql05vs) Description of Maintenance: EMS, VirtualEMS, and Master Calendar IIS sites, databases, and connectors will be patched and upgraded to their latest versions. User Impact: Users sessions will be interrupted and they will need to login again.
When: 5:00 – 6:00AM Affected Services: SPOT, Affected Systems: swise, mcmail, mcsource Description of Maintenance: SSL certificates that are set to expire on June 16 will be renewed User Impact: momentary interruptions as each server’s web service is restarted. See below for the apps that run on each server.
When: 6:20 – 6:30 AM Affected Systems: Symantec Server (smtpsec2) Description of Maintenance: Upgrade to latest version. User Impact: None — another server available — approximately 5 minutes to update.
