Blackboard maintenance has completed and all services are back operational.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs, Oct 31, from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/31/2013 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00 – 6:00AM
Affected services: Blackboard
Affected systems: Blackboard
Description of maintenance: Systems will be doing rolling restarts blackboard services to try to remedy a bug within blackboard.
User impact: Blackboard will be unavailable during the maintenance window.

When: 3:00 – 3:30AM
Affected services: University Fileserver (ANDI)
Affected systems: ANDI (fauandi1/fauandi2)
Description of maintenance: OIT will be physically moving the primary University fileserver (fauandi1\fauandi2). The system will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes.
User impact: The ANDI server will be unavailable for approximately 15 minutes

When: 3:00 – 3:30AM
Affected services: Exchange email
Affected systems: exchangemb[01-03]
Description of maintenance: OIT will be rebooting some of the systems which support staff and faculty mail. We do not expect any interruption of service.
User impact: No end-user impact is expected

When: 3:00 – 7:00AM
Affected services: Banner
Affected systems: Banner
Description of maintenance: The following updates will be installed in Banner production: General 8.6.1 upgrade, Position Control 8.9.0 upgrade, HR/Payroll 8.9.0 upgrade, HR/Payroll 8.9.0.1, 8.9.0.2, 8.9.0.3 patches, Tax Updates #184, #185, #186
User impact: There will be no user impact

Network: Completed Network Maintenence Bldg.12-BS-Behavioral Sciences building 10/28 to 11/8

Starting Monday 10/28 the Networking Department will be upgrading the network equipment in Bldg.12-BS-Behavioral Sciences building. The work will be done from 4:00am to 7:00am daily until all interface ports have been moved to the new equipment. All work will be completed by Friday 11/8.

[Resolved]: Power Outage – Boca campus

As of 3:30 p.m. today, Power was restored to bldg. 22 but there may still be some areas still without power.
All systems are up and running at this time but we are still experiencing an issue with our internal and external
swipe card readers not working due to the power outage. Campus police were contacted and have advised that things
are still coming up sporadically on campus and that when power is fully restored to the campus, that that should resolve the issue occurring with the card readers. They did not give an estimate of when this might occurr. At this time they are still not working and no one will be able to access this building.

At 2:15pm today, Boca campus experienced a power outage and there may be some areas still without power.

The outage is being addressed and we hope to have power fully restored as soon as possible.

Affected services: EMS
Affected systems: EMS
Description of maintenance: OIT will be patching EMS to the current version.
User impact: OIT will be patching EMS to the current version.

[Completed] Scheduled Maintenance – Echo 360 Course Video System – Oct 9, 6:00AM – 8:00AM

Maintenance is now complete and Echo course videos are available.
