OIT Systems Maintenance, Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/11/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 5:00 am to 5:30am
Affected Services: Luminis (MyFAU)
Affected Systems: mcoracle.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance: Oracle quarterly PSU will be applied
User impact: Luminis (MyFAU) and Banner self-service will not be available

When: 5:30 am to 6:30am

Description of Maintenance: Physically relocating server to another rack
User impact: swise applications will be unavailable during this time.

When: 6:00 AM – 6:10 AM
Affected Services: NetReg, Ibiweb2, idm
Affected Systems: ldapboc0
Description of Maintenance: ldapboc0 will be shutdown to have its allocated RAM increased.
User impact: No end user impact is expected as the service is load-balanced.

When: 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM
Affected services: DHCP
Affected systems: DHCPBOC0, DHCPBOC1
Description of maintenance: The goal of this change is to utilize new IP address ranges in buildings 10 and 67. The new IP address ranges will be enabled via DHCP for known clients. The old IP address ranges (131.91.x.x) and the new IP address ranges (10.x.x.x) will coexist in the same network/vlan.
User impact: Clients that are currently registered in Talon and are using DHCP will acquire a new IP address via DHCP.

Description of maintenance: Allow SCCM to communicate fully with clients, in OIT, running XP by allowing communication to occur over RPC.
User impact: No end user impact is expected.
