Starting Monday 6/2/14 The OIT Networking Department will be upgrading the network equipment in building 80 the Student Support Services Facility building.
The work will be performed between the hours of 4:00 am to 7:00 am daily until all network interface ports have been moved to the new equipment.
All work will be completed by Friday 6/20/14.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/29/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of maintenance: FAU’s web base authentication system will be upgraded to provide additional security features such as Two Factor Authentication, improved user session termination and improved reliability. In addition all expired user passwords will be extended between 30 to 180 days. This will allow users time to respond to the password expiration warnings before they are force to change their password.
User impact: Users may need to refresh their browsers and possibly clear their browser cache. Users will see a new user interface with improved navigation. Users with expired passwords will have their password expiration extended between 30 and 180 days.

Description of maintenance: OIT will be converting the Travel, ERLR and Workflow Banner services to work over SSL.
User impact: Users may be unable to connect to Travel, ERLR or Workflow during this time. All requests made to these services after the maintenance will be forced to connect over https.

Description of maintenance: MyFAU will be offline in order to peform some general maintenance.
User impact: End users will not be able to access MyFAU during this time.

Description of maintenance: OIT is applying an update to the client management system (SCCM) in an attempt to resolve some issues on specific servers.
User impact: The SCCM console and SCCM OS deployments will be unavailable during the window.

Description of maintenance: Minor changes to FAU self-service needs to be deployed in Production.  These changes only affect the look of self-service mainly the size of the submit buttons.
User impact: No user impact is expected.

FAU’s web base authentication system upgrade has been completed.

The IRM leave calendar will be migrated Monday at 7am.   Users may notice outlook prompting to restart if IRM Leave Calendar has been opened in the calendars section.  Please restart outlook and let the calendar update.
