OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Aug 28 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 08/28/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 5:00 – 6:00AM
Affected services: OwlCard, Collections file prep site, FAU Reimbursements, Telephone bill payment
Affected systems: ​controller.fau.edu
Description of maintenance: OIT will be upgrading some software on controller.fau.edu. As a result, several services will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes.
User impact: The following services will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour: OwlCard, Collections file prep site, FAU Reimbursements, Telephone bill payment

When: 5:00 – 6:00AM
Affected services: None impacted
Affected systems: ADCON
Description of maintenance: OIT will replace a server used by the FAU community with a newer version.
User impact: Technical staff who manages computer objects, Organizational Units (OUs), and users will not be able do so until the new ADCON server is in place.

When: 6:00 – 7:00AM
Affected services: Exchange email (faculty/staff)
Affected systems: exchangeca01​, exchangeca02, exchangemb01, exchangemb02, exchangemb03
Description of maintenance: OIT will be preforming maintenance on the mail servers for FAU employees (Exchange).​
User impact: ​No end user impact is expected

Affected services: Network Registration (NetReg)
Affected systems: ldapboc0
Description of maintenance: OIT will be increasing the resources to one of the directory servers.
User impact: No end user impact is expected​
