Beginning this fall, Apporto has replaced Citrix as FAU’s new virtual desktop platform, making it easier for students to access virtual apps. All virtual apps are now hosted in Apporto for a simpler, streamlined experience.

What Are Virtual Apps?

Virtual apps are digital tools that you can use on your device without having to install them. This allows for quick and easy accessibility from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection.

Some notable features of Apporto include the ability to screen share, message students directly, collaborate on documents, and share files.

Instructors can share their screens via Presenter Mode, which allows teachers to demonstrate their work to students, view students’ screens in real time, and request control to assist with their work.
