There will be an upcoming change that will affect how Zoom integrates with your Outlook (Office 365) calendar and contacts.
On May 14th, all FAU Zoom users who use the Outlook calendar and contacts integration will need to reauthorize the connection. OIT will be performing maintenance on the Zoom and Office 365 calendar integration. This is a one-time action.
Please follow the steps here to sync your Outlook Calendar and Contacts.
Why do I need to sync my calendar and contacts to Zoom?
Connecting Zoom to your Outlook will allow you to start, join, or manage Zoom meetings from both Outlook and Zoom. Any Outlook invites that include Zoom join links/URLS will be automatically accessible via Outlook or Zoom. This makes meetings easier to manage from both platforms.
If you do not reauthorize, your Outlook calendar and contacts will no longer sync with Zoom.
How do I sync my calendar and contacts to Zoom?
You can sign in to the FAU Zoom Web Portal and find the feature at the bottom of your profile page. Select Office 365 as the service, click next, permit Calendar and Contacts to read and write, and click authorize to complete the process. Once completed, your page will refresh with a small message saying the authorization was successful.
Need assistance with reauthorization or have more questions? Please reach out to our team via a Help Desk request or by booking an appointment with one of our experts.
