Google is currently investigating a phishing email that is appearing as Google Docs. Please do not click on the link for any unknown shared google doc requests. If you have clicked the link, please make sure to change your Owl Apps and FAU password as soon as possible.

[RESOLVED] – Single-Sign On issues

The issue with single-sign on has been resolved and all services have been restored at this time. You may need to close all open browser windows and open a new session before attempting to login.

If you received an email that appears to come from President John Kelly with subject line “Important announcement from President John Kelly” do not open and please delete this email immediately. This is a phishing email.

[COMPLETED] TouchNet Payment processing system unavailable 5/18/16 due to maintenance

TouchNet systems has completed their maintenance. All systems are back online and ready for regular use.

The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance; from 3:00(am) to 7:00(am) –EST, on Wednesday 5/18/16.

This will affect student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services.

We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00(am) that morning. A follow up notification will be sent out when the system is back online.

The subject line of this message is Emergency Email! and the message states: “To Avoid Closure Of Your Email, Click Or Copy This Link:[google drive link]” –  Please DO NOT click this message as it is not sent from OIT or FAU and by clicking the link your account will become compromised.

Google has suspended any user who has clicked the link.  To enable your account, you must reset your Owlapps password. We recommend that you reset both your Owlapps and FAUNet ID passwords to avoid any future issues.

Emergency Internet Maintenance from Midnight until 6:00 am on 4/13 and 4/14

Due to emergency third-party fiber maintenance from the vendor that provides Internet and network connectivity to FAU, there will be work performed that will sporadically affect connectivity to the campus from midnight until 6:00 a.m. on 4/13 and 4/14. We are making efforts to ensure that services are available as much as possible through the maintenance by utilizing backup internet connections and disaster recovery procedures. However, there may be intermittent and sporadic losses of connectivity due to the nature of the outage.

[RESOLVED] Network Outage – All services and campuses affected

 All network and services have been restored.  A software bug on the University core router caused the extended outage.
