The following systems and services may be impacted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>OWLDone and SPOT Server Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be performing server maintenance that will require downtime for OWLDone and SPOT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 7, 2026, 10:00 PM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 8, 2026, 12:00 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>OWLDone<\/li><li>SPOT<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>Faculty and students may be unable to access OWLDone and SPOT during the maintenance window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Banner Access Management Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be making configuration changes to Banner Access Management and related database tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 7, 2026, 5:00 PM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 7, 2026, 6:00 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Banner Access Management<\/li><li>Database tables GURUOBJ and GURUCLS<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>No end-user impact is anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Enterprise Systems Server Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be performing server maintenance affecting several enterprise applications and services. UAchieve will be unavailable during the maintenance window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Banner Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be performing scheduled maintenance on Banner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 12:00 AM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 7:00 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Banner Admin<\/li><li>Banner APIs<\/li><li>Banner Self-Service<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>Banner Admin and Banner Self-Service will be unavailable during the maintenance window. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Server Security Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be applying incremental security updates to several web servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 4:00 AM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 4:30 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>assessment.fau.edu<\/li><li>crosswalk.fau.edu<\/li><li>grademan.fau.edu<\/li><li>SoftLic.fau.edu<\/li><li>techfee.fau.edu<\/li><li>transient.fau.edu<\/li><li>iss.fau.edu<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>No end-user impact is expected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Wireless Authentication Changes \u2013 Jupiter and Harbor Branch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be updating the authentication method for the eduroam and WPA2 wireless networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 6:00 AM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 7:00 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>eduroam wireless network<\/li><li>WPA2 wireless network<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>Users may be prompted to re-authenticate their wireless devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Banner Database Account Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>Several Banner database accounts will be temporarily disabled as part of maintenance activities and subsequently re-enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 10:00 AM<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 9, 2026, 11:00 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Applications and integrations utilizing affected Banner database accounts<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>Integrations or applications using the affected accounts may experience temporary interruptions until the accounts are restored. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3>Desktop Access Changes \u2013 Administrative Departments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Description of Change:<\/strong><br>OIT will be implementing desktop access changes for select administrative departments, including the removal of the Duo login window at Windows sign-in and requiring FAU VPN access for remote connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change Window Start:<\/strong> July 9, 2026<br><strong>Change Window End:<\/strong> July 15, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Affected Departments:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>OIT<\/li><li>Admissions<\/li><li>Advancement<\/li><li>Controller&#8217;s Office<\/li><li>Financial Aid<\/li><li>Foundation<\/li><li>Registrar<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected End-User Impact:<\/strong><br>Users in affected departments will see changes to the Windows login experience and remote access requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions regarding these maintenance activities, please contact the OIT Help Desk.
