In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:<\/p>\n<p><strong>OwlApps, EMS, Blackboard, Banner SSB &amp; INB, \u00a0and SCCM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When: 3:00 AM &#8211; 4:00 AM<br \/>\nAffected services: OwlApps, Graduate Admissions App<br \/>\nAffected systems: OwlApps<br \/>\nDescription of maintenance: We are updating OwlApp to correct a bug in the confirmation email.<br \/>\nUser impact: The Admissions application will not be available during the proposed downtime. We do expect it to take less than the allotted time.<\/p>\n<p>When: 5:00 AM \u2013 6:00 AM<br \/>\nAffected Services: EMS<br \/>\nAffected Systems: events.fau.edu<br \/>\nDescription of Maintenance: EMS, VirtualEMS, and Master Calendar will be patched and upgraded to their latest versions.<br \/>\nUser Impact: Users sessions will be interrupted and they will need to log in again.<\/p>\n<p>When: 5:00 AM &#8211; 6:00 AM<br \/>\nAffected services: Blackboard<br \/>\nAffected systems: Blackboard<br \/>\nDescription of maintenance: Install two patches in Blackboard to solve issues with submitting grades in certain situations.<br \/>\nUser impact: Blackboard will not be available during the proposed downtime. We do expect it to take less than the allotted time.<\/p>\n<p>When: 3:00 AM &#8211; 7:00 AM<br \/>\nAffected services: Banner SSB<br \/>\nAffected systems: Banner FAUP<br \/>\nDescription of maintenance: The following updates will be installed in Banner production:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student 8.5.4 upgrade + patches<\/li>\n<li>Student Self Service 8.5.3 upgrade + patches<\/li>\n<li>General 8.5.2 upgrade<\/li>\n<li>Web General 8.5.2 upgrade<\/li>\n<li>Web Tailor 8.5.2 upgrade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>User impact: The user may receive a timeout or \u2018Page Not Found\u2019 message while connected to SSB. Banner INB or Banner SSB response time may be a little slower than normal. Users can try to connect after 7:00 AM<\/p>\n<p>When: 3:00 AM &#8211; 5:00 AM<br \/>\nAffected Services: SCCM<br \/>\nAffected Systems: SCCM<br \/>\nDescription of Maintenance: Microsoft prematurely released a patch into production which only is compatible with SCCM SP1. \u00a0The patch upgraded a component on the server to only be compatible after SP1. \u00a0After the patch was installed, the SCCM server is currently down and not responding to client\u2019s requests. \u00a0The only resolution to this issue is to upgrade the SCCM software version to SP1. \u00a0Service Pack 1 will also provide new features to SCCM administrators as well as support for Windows 8, Server 2012, Mac OS, and Linux.<br \/>\nUser Impact: None. \u00a0Desktop clients will continue to not be able to talk with the server.
