Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03\/06\/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:<\/p>\n

\nAffected services: Blackboard
\nAffected systems: Blackboard
\nDescription of maintenance: Systems will be applying a patch to blackboard to remedy a java issue some users may see with the newest java version. We will also be making a configuration change to alleviate issues some users may experience with the newest version of internet explorer 11.
\nUser impact: Blackboard will be unavailable for about two hours(likely less) while we apply the patch and make the configuration changes.<\/p>\n

\nAffected systems: octopus.fau.edu
\nDescription of maintenance: OIT will be upgrading the operating system of the server.
\nUser impact: Blackboard users may not be able to use certain building blocks. Servers that utilize the proxy for updates and\/or contacting the internet will not work<\/p>\n
