Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09\/15\/2016 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.\u00a0 In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:<\/p>\n

\nMove student home folder path (M: drive) and change network share drive mapping method
\nWhen:\u00a0 3:00AM – 7:00AM
\nAffected services:\u00a0\u00a0 home folders for students (M: drive)\u200b and drive mappings for all users
\nAffected systems:\u00a0 fauandi1, idm, bocdcirm01
\nDescription of maintenance:\u00a0 OIT will be changing the location of the student home folder (M: drive). The path will change from \\\\fauandi1.fau.edu\\student$\\faunetid to \\\\fauandi1.fau.edu\\home$\\faunetid\u200b.
\nAdditionally all network shares will be mapped via Group Policy Preferences for all users instead of logon script + AD homedirectory attribute<\/p>\n

User impact:\u00a0 If mapping a student’s home folder manually the path will now be \\\\fauandi1.fau.edu\\home$\\faunetid

\nAffected services:\u00a0 \u200bReport Caster, WebFOCUS, Talon, IDM, OIM, Luminis
\nAffected systems:\u00a0 \u200bboc22ora01,\u200bboc22ora03,\u200bboc22ora05,\u200bboc22ora07,mcoracle
\nDescription of maintenance:\u00a0 Migrate Oracle datafiles to new NetApp storage\u200b
\nUser impact: Services will be unavailable for a short period while storage is cut over.\u200b<\/p>\n
