{"id":5929,"date":"2017-02-09T08:14:10","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T13:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.fau.edu\/oit\/?p=5929"},"modified":"2017-02-09T08:14:10","modified_gmt":"2017-02-09T13:14:10","slug":"banner-inb-error-message-upon-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.fau.edu\/oit\/2017\/02\/banner-inb-error-message-upon-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Banner INB &#8211; Error message upon launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During our regular OIT Maintenance window this morning, we installed a forms server patch in Banner INB that may produce an error for anyone launching Banner INB &#8211;\u00a0 Error message: \u201cFRM-92160: Fatal Error: web client version is too old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>To resolve this issue you will need to clear your Java cache by following these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To clear your Java cache in Windows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click Start &gt; Control Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Locate and double click the Java icon in the Control Panel.<\/li>\n<li>Click Settings under Temporary Internet Files.<\/li>\n<li>Click Delete Files.<\/li>\n<li>Select all boxes and click OK on Delete Temporary Files window.<\/li>\n<li>Click OK on Temporary Files Settings window.<\/li>\n<li>Click OK to close the Java Control Panel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>To clear your Java cache in Mac OS X:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Double click your Mac hard drive.<\/li>\n<li>Double click Applications.<\/li>\n<li>Double click Utilities.<\/li>\n<li>Double click Java Preferences.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Network tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Delete Files&#8230; button.<\/li>\n<li>You are prompted to delete your temporary files for Java. Make sure all boxes are selected with check marks.
