Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06\/15\/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM<\/strong> during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
\nApplication maintenance – Jira and Confluence (KB)<\/strong>
\nDescription of change: \u200bOIT will be blocking off-campus access to jira and the kb sites to limit exposure to the outside
\nDowntime window start: 5:00 AM
\nDowntime window end: 6:00 AM
\nAffected services: \u200bjira and confluence
\nAffected systems: jira and kb\u200b
\nExpected End-user impact: Users trying to access these sites from outside of the FAU\u00a0networks will not be able to access it any longer. On campus users may not be able to access the site for about 5 minutes during the maintenance.\u200b<\/p>\n

Server maintenance – Banner<\/strong>
\nDescription of change: OIT is upgrading BEIS from version 8.2 to 8.4 to support SAML 2.0 for future Shibboleth\u200b integration.
\nDowntime window start: 3:00 AM
\nDowntime window end: 4:00 AM
\nAffected services: Banner single sign-on\u200b
\nAffected systems: sctcache1, sctcache2, sctcache7\u200b
\nExpected End-user impact: During this time, accessing self-service functions from MyFAU or logging into Banner may be intermittent\u200b<\/p>\n

\nExpected End-user impact: Banner production\u200b will be unavailable during this time.<\/p>\n

\nDescription of change: \u200b\u200bThis upgrade builds onto the infrastructure for all of the other Banner XE modules and specifically supports the latest upgrade and modification of the Student Registration Self Service module.

\nDowntime window end: 7:00 AM
\nOIT Units involved in the change: Administrative Systems and the DBA Team

\nAffected systems: \u200bBanner XE DB Upgrade module

\nDescription of change: \u200bThis upgrade expands the functionality of the Student Registration Self Service module

\nAffected systems: \u200bBanner XE Student Registration Self Service module
\nExpected End-user impact: \u200bDuring this time, Banner XE self service link will be unavailable for a brief time<\/p>\n

\nDescription of change: \u200bThis upgrade is required to the support the next set of Banner XE Financial Aid system administrative pages. Admin Common must be in place before the other pages can be deployed.

\nAffected services: Banner XE Fin Aid Admin pages will be unavailable for a brief time
