On the morning of Thursday, May 12, the faculty parking on the east side of Lot 23 will undergo restriping. Therefore, this portion of the lot will be closed and unavailable for parking. Only the two rows on the furthest side of Lot 23 will be affected. Please remove all vehicles parked in this area no later than the evening of Wednesday, May 11.
2016 Summer Parking Rules
- VALID blue & green permits are allowed to park in any blue & green lot through the last day of the 2016 Summer Term August 8th. All other parking rules and policies including red permit lots will still be enforced.
- No permit violations in student lots only (blue & green) will not be enforced until May 23rd. On that day, you will need to to have a valid permit correctly displayed on your vehicle to park in any lot on campus. Alternatively, you will be required to park in a designated visitor area and pay via the parking meters.
- New Students– Once registered as a student with FAU, wait 24 hours before requesting a permit. Parking permits can be obtained online at myfau.fau.edu.
- 2016 Fall Term– Permits for the Fall semester term of 2016 will become available in August.

Traffic Advisory – 2016 Spring Commencement
The University will mark the end of the 2016 Spring Semester with commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th. The commencement ceremonies will be held in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium on the Boca Raton Campus at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm on both days.
Traffic will be especially heavy on both days of graduation, particularly at the Glades Road entrance along West University Drive. Parking Lot 16, located directly in front of the Student Union, will be reserved for disabled and VIP access for ceremony attendees only. Please note that on graduation day, Lot 16 will be considered a reserved lot and not available for use by permit holders and will instead be designated for graduates and guests only.
Parking and Transportation Services and the FAU Police Department are requesting that all staff, faculty and students who work in Buildings Student Support Services (80), Student Union buildings (31 and 31A-E), and Housing (46) park in Lots 17, 19, 20 or Parking Garage One on Volusia Street.
Employees working in buildings 80, 46 and 31 with valid disabled placards will be able to park in Lot 16. Please access the parking lot using the south-east entrance off of Dade Avenue. When approaching the parking lot, please have your disabled parking permit visible for verification upon entry to the lot.
