We’re pleased to announce that Draft Coach — the latest writing coach tool from Turnitin, is now available to all FAU students and faculty!
Draft Coach is a Google Docs based add-on which encourages learning and provides guidance for drafting essays. Draft Coach helps address errors, and improves the overall quality of students’ writing by highlighting grammar mistakes and scanning for similarity across several database entities.
Draft Coach provides explanations to help students edit their prose and deepen understanding BEFORE final submission. In conjunction with Feedback Studio, it works to deter plagiarism, and allows students to mitigate any similarities in their writing while still remaining in a “draft state”, keeping their ongoing progress and reports completely separate from their official submission through Turnitin via Canvas.
