By combining hosting techniques with options available for your Zoom account, you can bring a personal touch and feel to your daily meetings. To enable these settings, visit the FAU Zoom Web Portal.

Feedback and Participation Methods

Non-verbal feedbackAllow your students to communicate by clicking on icons to say yes, no, slow down, or speed up. These icons are found in the Reactions menu in the toolbar in the session.
Meeting Reactions Allow your students to communicate without interrupting by reacting with emojis.
PollsCheck for understanding, ask icebreaker questions with polls, and view/share results with the rest of the class. Poll results are available in the Zoom LTI tool located in your Canvas course.
Advanced pollingTake your polling techniques to another level. Available with more question types such as short answer, long answer, matching, order, or ranking, you can configure these polls as quizzes and have them submitted to your grade book. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask us!
ChatAllow your students to send chat messages to ask questions to you or the rest of the class.

Follow our Techevents calendar for general training or book a personal appointment. If you require assistance with anything else, submit a Help Desk Request.
