OIT now provides USB-C docking stations for student use in the Open and Housing Labs.
Docking stations allow students to add 1 – 2 screens and an external keyboard/mouse to their devices for smoother studying, increased productivity, and quick charging. They are compatible with Windows laptops, MacBooks, iPad Pros, and any other device that can output video through a USB-C connection. Students can follow this guide to learn how to extend their screens.
Our Open Computer Labs will continue to provide several individual computers stations with access to apps commonly used at FAU as well as spaces to collaborate with study groups and peers. Students can visit these labs during their scheduled operating hours which are listed on the Open and Housing Labs page.
