Canvas Release Notes- November 2023

Posted on Posted in Updates

In this Canvas release (November 18th), captions on copied Canvas videos have been made independent from the original media. Therefore, you won’t have to worry about affecting previously made captions when editing captions on copied Canvas videos. Furthermore, instructors have the ability to remove these captions if they do not want them to appear when students play a video.

Some other features in the new update:

  • When using New Quizzes, teachers now have the ability to enable a new feature called Anonymous Grading.
  • Canvas is removing the rest of it’s Flash Video Support. Any content created with Adobe Flash will not function within Canvas after November 18th.

This article is a summary of the full release notes and references. The full update can be found on the Canvas Community site.
