DUO Multi-Factor Authentication

As part of Florida Atlantic University’s ongoing commitment to safeguard your information, we are in the process of implementing an additional layer of security, multi-factor authentication (MFA). Most banks, Google, Facebook, and Apple already have a similar system that prompts you to confirm the login either by entering a code or accepting the activity. Students will have the option to use MFA for services such as Self-Service. You will be prompted to confirm your login activity by using the multi-factor authentication app DUO on your phone. At this time, enrollment is voluntary, but later in 2019 enrollment will be mandatory for all students. As such, we encourage you to opt-in now. To enroll, go to http://www.fau.edu/oit/accounts/mfa.php and click on the “Two-factor and multi-factor authentication enrollment tool for students” link under the Students, Alumni, and Attended section. OIT will be in the Breezeway on Wednesday, February 20 and 27 to assist with enrolling to DUO.
