Reimagining Aging: New Frontiers in Brain and Movement Health

The Florida-Israel Institute at Florida Atlantic presents Reimagining Aging: New Frontiers in Brain and Movement Health. The plenary speaker is Anat Mirelman, Ph.D., director of the Aufzien Family Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease at Tel Aviv University, a global leader in movement and aging research. The event will also feature faculty from FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and the NeuroInnovate Center.  Attendance is free and includes complimentary lunch. Registration is required.

Florida Atlantic Launches Inaugural Local Government and Non-Profit Internship Program (Civic Owls)

Florida Atlantic University is launching an exciting new paid internship program that allows juniors and seniors who have completed a minimum of 60 credits in all majors to gain experience in local government agencies and non-profit organizations. The Civic Owls internship program, funded by the President’s Office, will kick off in Spring 2026 and will be offered every Fall and Spring semester thereafter.
