Users now receive a notification listing messages the FAU mail system has quarantined because there is strong reason to believe are spam or phishing. Options are also provided for releasing or requesting the release of legitimate messages if you want to retain them. These messages originate from no-reply-quarantine@fau.edu. There has been no change to the policies regarding quarantining messages, but the quarantine notification emails now inform you when messages ae placed in the quarantine.

QEP 20-Minute Information Sessions
Dear Colleagues: IMPORTANT: QEP 20-Minute Information Sessions Next week Florida Atlantic will undergo our 10-year on-site re-accreditation review by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). An integral component of this accreditation review is evaluation of the institution’s Quality Enhancement Plan or QEP. During the visit, reviewers may ask students, faculty, or staff about the QEP titled: Education Reimagined: Engaging Students through Peer-Assisted Learning. It is essential that all members of the community are familiar with the QEP. If you would like to learn more, please join us for one of three 20-minute online QEP information sessions: Tuesday, March 26 3 – 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 11 – 11:20 a.m. Thursday, March 28 10 – 10:20 a.m. For security purposes, register for the session you select by clicking the date/time and the Zoom link will be emailed to you. The Body Project
Register for The Body Project, a free body acceptance program open to FAU students. Learn how to enrich your relationship with your body, reduce body dissatisfaction, and meet new people. All students get a free “All Bodies are Good Bodies” T-shirt! Spaces are limited so prior registration is required. This program takes place over 2 different days, held one week apart. Paint Your Heart Out
Friday, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The Weppner Center for LEAD and Service-Learning will be pairing up with The Solid Waste Authority to help paint houses for those in need. This event will take place in Riviera Beach and students are responsible for their own transportation. The event will take place from 9 am to 1 pm and students will receive 4 service hours for attending this trip. Once students will sign up they will receive a confirmation email with final details and information about the address. Healing Arts Exhibit
The Healing Arts Exhibit is an annual exhibition hosted by CAPS. The exhibit features the artwork of FAU students with the intention of highlighting the healing power of art, increasing visibility of CAPS, reducing stigma of mental health services, and increasing inclusivity across campus. Drug Free Campus Notice
Florida Atlantic University is committed to providing a campus environment free from alcohol abuse and the illegal use of alcohol and other drugs. FAU has adopted and implemented programs that seek to prevent the illicit use of drugs and alcohol abuse by university community members.

Owls Care Leaders serve as an example to their peers in creating a culture of caring on their campus. The 8th Annual Women’s Leadership Institute
Boca Raton, Florida – Florida Atlantic University Division of Student Affairs hosted the 8th Annual Women’s Leadership Institute, March 15-17, 2023, on the Boca Raton campus with activities hosted in both the Student Union and the Schmidt Family Complex. The more than 200 attendees included FAU students, faculty and staff.
The Planning committee, comprised of representatives from the FAU Office of Owls Care Health Promotion and Women and Gender Equity Resource Center, Student Government, Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work in the College of Social Work & Criminal Justice, Dean of Students Office, FAU Career Services, Student Activities and Involvement and the Office for Student- Athlete Success Center, were proud to bring the Women’s Leadership Institute to the FAU community in a multi-day format for the first time. This event was made possible with support from the FAU Executive Business Program and community partners NextEra Energy Resources and Behavioral Family Solutions.
The Women’s Leadership Institute is for all members of the university community who support enhancing opportunities for increased networking, skill building and empowerment. The 2023 program focused on the power of social and emotional intelligence through an interactive Lunch & Learn and WLI Feature Presentations.
