Owl Breaks for Fall 2017 Semester

Owl Breaks (formerly known as Alternative Spring Break) is an opportunity to spend your course/semester Break, serving a community in need. You will travel with other students and staff members to a city within and outside of Florida where you will immerse yourself in service projects and learn about a particular social issue affecting that community. Palm Beach County Heart Walk

FAU has teamed up with the Palm Beach County Chapter of the American Heart Association and is looking for students, faculty, and staff to be part of our team. The Walk will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. Transportation is provided to and from FAU. Interested individuals should complete our registration form. Departure time is 7:15 a.m. in front of the Boca Raton Student Union and with a return to the same location by noon. For more information, contact Aaron Hackman.

November is National TMJ Awareness Month

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint) is the joint which allows us to open/close our mouth for speaking, eating etc. Learn about why this joint is so important to your everyday life and how to maintain a healthy TMJ. Student Health Services Dental Clinic will be hosting a table event on the Boca Raton Breezeway on Thursday, Nov. 9 starting at 11:30 a.m. Stop by to learn more.
