All faculty and employees (non-OPS) with at least a .50 appointment or engaged in research activity must complete an Outside Activity Report for conflict review on or before September 30, 2025. If you have already submitted a report on or after July 1, 2025, you do not need to re-file unless you have new or additional outside activity. A report of “no activity” must be submitted if you have no outside activity to report for the year. Campus Recreation is committed to finding new ways to support our students, faculty, and staff populations. Florida Atlantic Campus Recreation Sport Programs would like to cordially invite you to participate in our new Faculty/Staff Sports League Initiative. This program begins with a Faculty/Staff Softball League during the Summer 2025 season. Registration is free and open to all current Florida Atlantic staff members.
Softball league will consist of a 3-week regular season and a 3-week playoff period. There will be a week-break during the regular season to accommodate summer holidays, and potential reschedule options are available for teams with busy schedules.
The season will begin on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and all games will be played at Henderson Field, next to AD Henderson School. All game equipment will be provided.

Participants will be provided a Fitbit to wear and complete online surveys every two months and may keep the Fitbit at the end of the study. Participants will be compensated for their time with an electronic gift cards. The study takes place online after the adoption of a pet dog or cat . Participants must not have any other cat or dog in the home. We are also looking for those who do not have any pets in the home to participate as no n-adopters for the control group.
