BIPOC Welcome Reception

The FAU Diversity Council will host their inaugural BIPOC Welcome Reception to be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The Reception will take place in the FAU Student Union on the Boca Raton campus from 4-6 p.m. in the Grand Palm Room. FAU faculty and staff are invited to join the Diversity Council to re/build community, have a check-in, and simply, socialize with the BIPOC community.

Inaugural Pre-Health Professions Summit

The three-day summit includes healthcare professionals from surrounding universities and practitioners from the local community such as medical, pharmacy, and dentists, who will provide useful tools post-pandemic. The summit will help guide students in useful skills as they embark on their pathway to becoming the next generation of healthcare providers for the betterment of the community.

The Department of Biological Sciences DNA Forensics and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Fall 2022 courses are available: Oct. 18-Nov. 17. 

The ART certificate course is for professionals or current students seeking a career in human reproductive medicine, veterinary medicine, nursing, biomedical science and other allied life science programs. 

The DNA Forensics certificate course is for professionals and non-professional students contemplating a career in biotech, forensic science, criminal justice and other allied life science programs.

Futuros Retreat

The Futuros Retreat features collaborative cultural activities/workshops and open forums where students are encouraged to exchange ideas for strengthening their respective Hispanic/Latina/o/x communities and enhance their educational experiences and leadership skills. Too, the Retreat provides students an opportunity to get to know each other, team build, and participate in collective reflections on notions of Latinidades. Retreat participants are expected to engage fully in all aspects of the Retreat, including meals and Retreat activities.

Remember and Honor

Please join the Military & Veterans Student Success Center as we honor and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.  While this happened 21 years ago, it is still affecting our lives today.

We will meet at the flagpole outside the front of the Student Union (building 31) on September 9, at 8:30 am.
