Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 08/30/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM
Affected services: Any service that utilizes FAU NetID including, but not limited to, Owl Apps, Blackboard, eCollege, Phonebill, Netreg, Omniupdate, and Helpdesk
Affected systems: CAS (sso.fau.edu
Description of maintenance: The CAS (sso.fau.edu) database will be moved to a new host
User impact: sso.fau.edu will be unavailable for a short period of time during the window. Users will not be able to log in to any service that utilizes FAU NetID including, but not limited to, Owl Apps, Blackboard, eCollege, Phonebill, Netreg, Omniupdate, and Helpdesk
When: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM
Affected services: SharePoint
Affected systems: SharePoint
Description of maintenance: The VHDs of the SharePoint hosts will be aligned to increase performance of the systems.
User impact: SharePoint will be intermittently unavailable during the maintenance window. Please try to access the page again after 6:00 AM
When: 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM
Affected services: Voicemail (Xpressions)
Affected systems: Xpressions
Description of maintenance: The Xpressions servers will be upgraded to enhance the OS so mailbox message size can be limited to the number of messages.
User impact: Users will not be able to leave or retrieve messages during the downtime window
