[Resolved] Zoom -> Mediasite Imports

The Zoom to Mediasite import tool has been repaired and is now importing designated Zoom recordings in to Mediasite. OIT is continuing to monitor the tool for stability.

Please note that only Zoom recordings made on or after May 1st will be imported. Failed recordings made before this date will need to be manually transferred by downloading from Zoom and uploading into MyMediasite.

Currently Zoom recordings designated for import to Mediasite are not being imported. OIT is aware and is investigating the problem with the vendor.

Recordings can still be uploaded manually in the web interface.

Manual upload via My Mediasite is still available.

New Minimum Zoom Version

We want to inform you that the minimum Zoom Version supported will be 5.13.5. If your client does not update automatically, please download and install the latest updates to your Zoom desktop client. In addition, Zoom will no longer support clients below 5.13.5 on November 4th, 2023.

3 Ways to update your Zoom Client

  • Open the Zoom client and click Update from the notification banner.
  • From your profile, click Check for Updates.
  • Go to zoom.us/download for updates.

Mandatory Zoom Client upgrade

Zoom has identified a vulnerability in Zoom Desktop Clients 5.15.0 (Windows/macOS), 5.15.1 (Windows), and certain other products (i.e., iOS, Android, Linux, Zoom Rooms, SDK) – primarily versions 5.15.0. Users on these versions will be prompted to update before they can join meetings and these versions will no longer be available for download.

[Resolved] Mediasite-Zoom Integration

Earlier this morning Zoom experienced a disruption which interrupted the Mediasite-Zoom import process. Zoom has resolved the issue and users should once again see imports from Zoom to Mediasite. Please expect delays and possible duplication of recordings as the process is restarted.

Zoom Google Chrome extension update

The Zoom Google Chrome extension will be updated on November, 26, 2022.  After the upgrade, users will be asked to log-in manually the first time they open their browser and use the Google Chrome extension.
