Yahoo cloud latency issues

We are experiencing latency issues with some sites in the yahoo cloud. Our WAN providers have been made aware and are currently working to resolve with yahoo.

Network Maintenance – Ft. Lauderdale Campus 12/22 5:30am – 6:30am

OIT will be performing network maintenance in Ft. Lauderdale on Friday, December 22 from 5:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users will experience a network and telephone outage lasting approximately 20 minutes during this window.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 7 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/07/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Network Maintenance – Engineering, Bldg. 96
Description of change: OIT Networking will be making changes to the network in bldg. 96 to improve network performance.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Brocade VDI Users
Affected systems: Building 96 VDI hosts.
Expected End-user impact: During this time there will be a brief outage. After the change, users should see improved network performance.

[COMPLETED] Network Maintenance – Saturday November 25th from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m.

The network maintenance scheduled for this morning was completed at 6:30 a.m. All services are expected to be operational at this time.

Network Maintenance – Saturday November 25th from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m.

OIT will be performing network maintenance on Saturday, November 25th from 6:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. During this time, networked services on the Boca Raton campus will be intermittently unavailable for 15-20 minutes. All services are expected to be returned to normal operation before 6:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, between 12:01 am and 5:00 am, OIT will upgrade the network in the FAU General Classroom South Building #2. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network, wireless, and telephones in the General Classroom South building. 9 pm Single Sign On Maintenance

The Single Sign On system will be adjusted at 9 pm September 15th to improve reliability. During the adjustment users may experience a brief period of 1 – 2 minutes when authentication errors may fail.
