The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Friday, December 11th. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 3 from 3:00am to 7:00am

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/03/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Server Upgrades – Pay-for-print (Papercut)
Description of change: Papercut will be migrated from the current production environment to a new production environment. As part of the upgrade, please take note: Papercut will be offline for 3 days, from 12/2/2020-12/4/2020, while all hardware and software is upgraded and tested.

Downtime window end: 12/4/2020 5:00 PM
Affected services: ​Papercut printing.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users will not be able to use Pay-for-print (Papercut) services

Pay-for-print unavailable due to maintenance – 12/2 at 8:00am – 12/4 at 5:00pm

The pay-for-print service will be unavailable due to maintenance and necessary upgrades starting Wednesday, Dec 2 at 8:00am until Friday, Dec 4 at 5:00pm.

During this time, you will not be able to submit print jobs via pay-for-print.

[Resolved] AWS Issues affecting Canvas and Related Tools

[6:50 AM] This issue has been resolved.

Canvas and Respondus LockDown Browser have reported issues due to problems with Amazon Web Services (AWS). FAU students and teachers may experience problems accessing parts of Canvas or LockDown Browser exams. There is no reported time frame yet for a fix for this issue. Updates will follow as we get them.

[RESOLVED] Possible connectivity issues to network/Internet

The issue have been resolved.

We are currently experiencing issues with computers not being able to renew the DHCP lease (network connection). This can result in not being able to remotely connect to the computers or not being able to access the network/internet if you are on campus.
OIT is working on resolving this issues as soon as possible.

[NETWORK OUTAGE RECOVERY] Late Friday Afternoon 4:15 through 5:30

FAU experienced unplanned network connectivity issues between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. today. Network connectivity has been restored, but OIT may still be working to restore some services that may have been impacted.
