Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/16/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: Migrating MyFAU (LUMP on mcoracle) database from Oracle Linux 5 to Oracle Linux 7 and moving from 131.91.20.0 subnet to 10.19.20.0.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: MyFAU​
Affected systems: mcoracle​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, the MyFAU portal will be unavailable.

Server Maintenance  – OwlDone, SPOT, & OIM
Description of change: We will be moving the IP for several virtual servers from the old load balancer to the new load balancer hardware.​​
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: OIM, OwlDone and Spot
Affected systems: boc22igdadmp.fau.edu, boc22oimintp.fau.edu, boc22webprod.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: During this time, maintenance window SPOT, Owldone and OIM services will be unavailable.

Description of change: We will be moving the IP for papercut.fau.edu, and filelocker.fau.edu from the old load balancer to the new load balancer hardware.​

Affected services: filelocker and papercut
Affected systems: filelocker.fau.edu, papercut.fau.edu
Expected End-user impact: During this time, filelocker and papercut will be unavailable. Filelocker users will not be able to access shared files during the outage. Users will not be able to print using the papercut service.

Description of change: OIT Systems team will be replacing a suspected faulty storage controller on one of our dell server chassis.
Downtime window start: 3:30 AM
Downtime window end: 5:30 AM
Affected services: SSO, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Network Monitoring
Affected systems: Boca 96 VRTX, BOC96HV01, BOC96HV02, BOC96ESXI01, BOC96ESXI02, boc96dns, dhcpboc1, dhcpboc18, dnsboc1, ldapboc1, ldapboc1-el6, overwatch, shibboleth2p​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, services listed above will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Most services are redundant, however SSO may be intermittently unavailable.

iClicker Issue

There is currently an issue that can cause a break in the connection between iClicker and Canvas.

The issue occurs if an instructor has clicked the Sync Roster button since this weekend (10/28-10/29) which can cause students to show as unregistered.

Canvas is working to correct the issue, and ask that anyone experiencing the issue email support@iclicker.com and CC kelly.morrow@macmillan.com and they will help resolve the issue.

On Wednesday, November 8, 2017, between 12:01 am and 5:00 am, OIT will upgrade the network in the FAU General Classroom South Building #2. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network, wireless, and telephones in the General Classroom South building.
