The vhealth.fau.edu Virtual Desktop system is experiencing an outage with select pools of desktops. If you or your team are having issues please reach out to hpc@fau.edu and we will work to get you online while our storage vendor debugs the problem. We have temporary solutions available to get you online.

UPDATE – Banner Admin Service & Self Service 9 Registration Issues

UPDATE:

We are also receiving reports that the Self Service 9 Registration service is having issues. When students click on register for classes, they are receiving a 500 error. These issues seem to be related with admin as well, we are working on identifying and correcting it as quickly as possible.

For now users will have issues with Banner Admin and Banner Self Service 9. In addition, some other Banner services may be impacted.

We have some users that are having issues with Banner admin. When trying to login, it stays on a blank page and never logs in the user. We are looking a this now, and will report back once we identify the issue.

[RESOLVED] TouchNet Systems Maintenance, Friday, May 12th from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Friday, May 12th. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. May 4 from 12:01AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/04/2023 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:


RDS Licensing Server upgrade
Description of change: OIT will perform a Windows OS upgrade on our Remote Desktop Licensing Server
Downtime window start: 05/04/2023 12:01 AM
Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 6:00 AM
Affected services: This change will have an impact on any services using the server for remote desktop services, terminal services or VDI.
End-user impact: Faculty and Staff using the remote desktop services, terminal services or VDI.


Secure File Server maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be migrating data on the secure file server.
Downtime window start: 05/04/2023 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 4:00 AM
Affected services: All andisec shares
End-user impact: All andisec shares will be unavailable for a short time during the window


API Upgrades
Description of change: The Office of Information Technology will deploy several new features and bug fixes for the API tool that enables features in FAU Forms, Single SignOn and, other tools.

Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 6:15 AM
Affected services: Frevvo, eGrades, single sign on
End-user impact: During the redeploy SSO’s prompting engine may timeout and cause it to be skipped.


BHRIC SAN maintenance
Description of change: Research Computing will be doing maintenance on the VMWare storage

Downtime window end: 05/04/2023 5:00 AM
Affected services: BHRIC VMware
End-user impact: No interruption of service should occur


OIM Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be updating the global addresses book to remove students from the view.

[RESOLVED] Papercut Print Services Intermittently Unavailable 4/20/23

Papercut printing services have been restored.

Papercut pay for print services will be intermittently unavailable this morning while we fix an issue with the software. This issue will impact printing in the library, computer labs, and jobs submitted via the web portal fauprint.fau.edu. We are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible.
