OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 29 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/22/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: OIT will be performing server maintenance on several core systems from 3:00a.m. until 7:00 a.m. on July 29th. During this time, access to the network registration system, Banner, Degree Auditing, Transcripts, payments, and reporting systems may be unavailableOIT will be upgrading print services on the Jupiter campus from server 2016 to server 2019.

Description of change: OIT will be upgrading one of its infrastructure servers.​

Expected End-user impact: DNS lookups on dnsnw1.fau.edu will fail during the maintenance window.

[Resolved 2:30 pm] Owlpulse and Redcap offline

Owlpulse and Redcap are currently offline due to an issue with the database server. OIT is investigating the issue and will update regularly.

[RESOLVED] TouchNet Systems Maintenance, Friday, March 26th from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Friday, March 26th. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.

[RESOLVED] – Help desk system – Service interruption

**UPDATE**

This morning we received confirmation from Teamdynamix that this issue has been resolved and services have been fully restored.

Teamdynamix is experiencing issues with their DNS provider. This may cause issues connecting to helpdesk.fau.edu and helpdesk.fau.edu/tdnext.

We will update this post as more information becomes available.

Service outages reported for Microsoft 365

Microsoft is currently experiencing issues with their Azure and Office 365 services. Teams calls/meetings may fail amongst other things. Microsoft is working to resolve the issue
