Jupiter Network Maintenance – 11/9/2018

OIT will be performing network maintenance on the Jupiter campus on Friday, November 9 from 5:00 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. The purpose of this maintenance is to create a new network segment for High Performance Computing.  There will not be any loss of connectivity associated with this maintenance.

[RESOLVED] Duo Phone calls are delayed

UPDATE:

The vendor has moved services to an alternative telephony provider and phone call authentications should be working properly at this time.

Investigating – We are currently investigating an issue where phone calls are being delayed. All other authentication methods are working without issue.

Network Equipment Maintenance

Network connectivity within these campuses and to the Internet will be affected for 10-15 minutes while affected equipment reboots.

[RESOLVED] Account Claiming and Password Reset Services Unavailable

The upgrade has been completed and account claiming and password reset services are available at this time.

The Oracle Identity Management upgrade scheduled this morning between 12:01AM and 7:00AM is taking longer than expected.

At this time, account claiming and password reset services are currently unavailable. Our team is working on completing the upgrade as soon as possible.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Oct 4th from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/04/2018 from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: OIT will begin syncing all Employees and their roles into forms.fau.edu’s database one per day.

Expected End-user impact: During this time there is no end-user impact. After the change, users will be able to accurately route forms to employees as needed.

Office 365 intermittent issues

There appears to be some intermittent issues accessing Office 365 services at this time. We are monitoring the status with Microsoft and will post any updates as we receive them.

Users may be unable to authenticate or connect to the Office 365 service.

Latest message:

Title: Unable to access Office365 services User Impact: Users may be unable to authenticate or connect to the Office 365 service. Current status: We’ve determined that a data center issue caused a subset of the Office 365 service to become degraded. We’re connecting some of the affected services to an alternate infrastructure, while remediating the underlying issue within the datacenter. Scope of impact: Impact is specific to a subset of users who are served through the affected infrastructure. Start time: Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 9:09 AM UTC Preliminary root cause: A data center issue caused a subset of the Office 365 service to become degraded.
