Description of change: We are making an enhancement to the VIP Document Management System in order to provide better security for logins

Expected End-user impact: During the upgrade, VIP document system will be unavailable. After the upgrade, users will have to go through the shibboleth single sign on login (and most likely 2factor authentication) that is enabled on many other FAU services.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 2/8/2017 from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: ​We are changing the cryptographic protocols that are allowed for the Banner production web sites that are public facing. Beginning on the 8th only TLS 1.2 will be allowed to those sites.

Banner INB will be down for 15 mins

Banner INB will be unavailable for approximately 15 mins in order to resolve the intermittent login issue some users are experiencing. This will only affect Banner INB and if you are currently logged into Banner you will get disconnected. The downtime will begin in 10 mins and I will confirm with you all once Banner is back up.

[RESOLVED] – Malwarebytes Update causing network connectivity issues

UPDATE:

Today at 1:55PM, Malwarebytes released v.12 update that has fixed the network connectivity problem. OIT has tested the update and can confirm that it resolves the issues.

We highly recommend rebooting your computer at your earliest convenience after the update is installed.

Earlier today Malwarebytes released a signature update that is causing computers to lose network connectivity. This is a widespread issue and are affecting anyone who has Malwarebytes installed.

The temporary workaround is to disable Malicious Web Protection under Settings. This will restore network connectivity. Once Malwarebytes releases a new update the Malicious Web Protection feature should be turned on again.

We will be monitoring the status of this issue and apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
