We are currently experiencing an issue with Blackboard that is causing users to receive various database errors when accessing areas such as the discussion board, grade center and tests. We’re working to resolve this as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.

IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deem necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/07/2011 from 3:00am to 7:00am during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When : 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM

Blackboard (bbproxy2.fau.edu) – No downtime
SharePoint (spapp1.fau.edu) – No downtime
Xitracs (Xitracs.fau.edu) – Offline between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM

Description of Change:  We will be migrating bbpproxy2, spapp1, and Xitracs from VMware ESXi to Hyper-V. Blackboard and SharePoint should not experience any downtime, however Xitracs the SACS accreditation Document Management Software will be offline during the migration. We will be keeping backups of the VMware machines in case there are any problems and will be able to revert at any time during the process.
