Frevvo and Lists Maintenance still ongoing

The DMZ migration for Frevvo and Lists is still ongoing.

Lists is currently not maintaining SSO login information.

The Frevvo portion of OwlApp is displaying a 503 – service unavailable error.

We will update this post when more information is available.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Wednesday, Dec 12 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Wednesday, 12/12/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 6:00AM – 7:00AM
Affected Services: Blackboard – [COMPLETED]
Description of Maintenance: Installing Quota Building Block, Upgrading Blackboard Mobile Building Block, & Pearson MyLabs Building Block. (No downtime is required for this upgrades).

When: 5:30AM – 7:00AM
Affected services: ULRWEB, PURCHASING, HOME, STUDENT, COMMON, ARP-TRACK-NETWORKING, ANDI, FAIR, SECURE(ANDI,BLACKBOARD, DOTNETDEV, HOME, MEALPLANS, OIG, ORIENTATION, STUDENT), SECURE2(CHANGEGAPPSPASSWORD, CREATEADACCOUNT)
FTP NWRDCFTP and FAUFTP1
Affected systems: FAUweb1.fau.edu
Description of maintenance: Systems will be moving FAUweb1.fau.edu sites from the 128 subnet about 6:00am Thursday.
User impact: Users may have difficulties connecting to the sites listed above during this time.

When: 5:00AM – 6:30AM – [COMPLETED]
Affected services: Blackboard
Affected systems: Blackboard
Description of maintenance: Install two patches to solve issues in blackboard.
User impact: Blackboard will not be available during the proposed downtime.  We do expect it to take less than the allotted time.

When: 4:00AM – 6:15AM
Affected services: lists.fau.edu, GradApp
Affected systems: Sympa
Description of maintenance: The Sympa mail server and  Frevvo web servers will be down from 4:00am until the DNS refresh occurs at approximately 6:15am.  Users will not be able to send any messages via the list servers and the OwlApp Graduate Admissions application will be inaccessible.
User impact: Users will not be able to access lists.fau.edu and GradApp during this time.

When: 5:00 – 6:00 AM
Affected Services: EMS
Affected Systems: events.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance:  VirtualEMS, EMS Web Client, and Master Calendar will be patched and upgraded to their latest versions.
The apps have been installed and tested on fauweb5. Once the DNS change has gone into effect users will be directed to the updated versions of the apps
User Impact:  Users sessions will be interrupted and they will need to login again.

WordPress DMZ migration

WordPress will be relocated to the dmz on Wednesday 12/12 morning around 6:15am.   Slight interruption of services may be encountered.

Network maintenance affecting Banner is scheduled for:

Thursday 12/13/2014 2:00am – 6:00am Friday 12/14/2012 1:00am – 6:00am

Communication between Banner and its third party components (i.e., AppWorx, ePrint, WebFocus, etc.) will also be affected.

Completed – Echo System Maintenance December 11, 7:00am – 12:00pm

Updates to the Echo360 course video system are complete.

Echo Player streaming class videos and audio/video podcast downloads are available again.

Personal Capture users will now be prompted to update their client to the current version when they start the software.
