Network: Completed Network Maintenence Bldg.12-BS-Behavioral Sciences building 10/28 to 11/8
Work completed. Starting Monday 10/28 the Networking Department will be upgrading the network equipment in Bldg.12-BS-Behavioral Sciences building. The work will be done from 4:00am to 7:00am daily until all interface ports have been moved to the new equipment. All work will be completed by Friday 11/8.

[Resolved] Blackboard – Copy Content Error
Instructors attempting to copy individual content item from their course either to another area of the same course or to a different course, may receive the following error message:
Error: Failed to grant read permission to the attached file for target course.
Blackboard Support is currently investigating the issue.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs., November 7 from 3:00 – 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/07/2013 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of maintenance: The following updates will be installed in Banner productionEmployee Self Service 8.9.0 upgrade, Position Control 8.9.0.1 patch, HR/Payroll 8.9.0.4, 8.9.0.5, 8.9.0.6 patches, HR/Payroll 8.9.0.7, 8.9.0.8 patches, Employee Self Service 8.9.0.1, 8.9.0.2, 8.9.0.3 patches, Employee Self Service phpecex-ear-fix patch, WorkFlow 8.1.0.4.jar, 8.1.0.5.jar patches
User impact: FAUP may have to be down – Self Service related changes sometimes require shutting the system down during installation

Description of maintenance: OIT will be migrating the andi.fau.edu, student.fau.edu and home.fau.edu websites to a new server. Migrate the ANDI, Student and Home websites from IIS7 on FAUWeb1 to IIS8 on FAUWeb6. DNS records will be updated to reflect the new locations.
User impact: Andi.fau.edu, student.fau.edu, and home.fau.edu will be intermittently inaccessible during the window.
Cloning of BANNER DEVL
Banner DEVL will unavailable during the day tomorrow Thursday, 11/07/2013, in order to perform a clone from a backup copy of TEST as of end of day 11/05/2013.
