Error Message When Accessing Blackboard Collaboration Tools
We are currently experiencing an issue with the Blackboard Collaboration tools (Virtual Classroom and Chat-NOT Blackboard Collaborate, formerly known as Elluminate) that will cause users to receive pop-up error message with the following security warning: “The application’s digital signature has an error. Do you want to run the application?” Please be sure to click “Run” (NOT “Cancel”) in order to use these tools. You should only need to do this once. We apologize for the inconvenience.

SafeAssign unavailable Sunday, Jan 29 8am-2pm

Collaborate unavailable 10pm-2am Saturday, Jan 28/Sunday, Jan 29
The Collaborate web conferencing tool in Blackboard (formerly known as Elluminate) will be unavailable from 10:00pm on Saturday, January 28 until 2:00am Sunday, January 29 due to system updates. Upon accessing a Collaborate session for the first time after this update your computer will automatically download a new version of the software (approximately 12 MB), so please be sure to allow yourself extra time. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Update – Issues with Collaborate Recorded Sessions
The issues that we recently experienced with Collaborate (formerly known as Elluminate) have been resolved; however, at this time some of the recordings made over the past two weeks may be unavailable. We are working with Blackboard to correct the problem and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Blackboard database unavailable 12-2am Wednesday, January 11
The Blackboard database was unavailable from approximately 12-2am on Wednesday, January 11. During that time users may have received intermittent error messages when trying to access files within their courses and in some cases may have been unable to log into Blackboard. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Update on Collaborate issues
The application that connects Blackboard to Collaborate (formerly known as “Elluminate”), which was upgraded over the break, is having intermittent problems. We are reverting the previous version of the connecting software until Blackboard has developed a fix (expected to be released at end of the week). Until we return to the newest release, previously recorded sessions will be unavailable. Once the issue is resolved, all Collaborate recordings will once again be accessible.
Collaborate Issues
We are having issues with Blackboard Collaborate (formerly known as “Elluminate”). Users may intermittently experience error messages and/or slowness when trying to access a session. We’re working with Blackboard technical support to try to resolve these problems and we apologize for the inconvenience. There is currently no estimated time for resolution.
