Network problem in Bldg. NU 84 Christine E. Lynn college of Nursing

UPDATE: IRM Operations received a call back from the technician stating that the problem was due to a power supply going down in Room 201 at 2:50 p.m. and a Switch rebooting at 2:51 pm in room 201 jack 2028, the switch detected a possible loop at 4: 27p.m. and shutdown the port as a result possibly due to someone plugging something into a jack. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

@ 4:05 p.m. IRM Operations received a call regarding an unspecified network problem that was taking place in NU 84 Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.

Network on-call technician was contacted and is currently working on the issue to resolve it.

Resolved – Servers are back up – ECSWINS01; ECSWINS02; ISS Server currently down

@3:15 p.m. The ECSWINS01, ECSWINS02, & ISS servers are back up.

@ 2:05 p.m. The ECSWINS01; ECSWINS02; and ISS server went down.

At the present time we are attempting to contact one of the Windows Administration

Support people to inform them of this issue. There is currently no ETR for this issue.

Resolved – ECSWINS02 and ISS servers down.

@10:00 a.m. The issue with the ECSWINS02 and ISS servers has been resolved

and the servers are now currently back up again.

Windows Adminstrator Steve Gilbert has been contacted and informed of their status.

He is currently working on bringing the servers back up.

Resolved – Issues experienced with IBIWEB/BITS Webfocus webage

Issues began shortly after 7:00pm Wednesday night. Appeared to be resolved at 8:45pm, but then reappeared around 10:30pm. Issue was resolved at 12:30am.

Resolved – Cut Fiber-optic cable on campus – Damage not service affecting Jade will repair during normal business hours.

We have received a report that a fiber-optic cable has been cut on campus. The cable is located North of the Memory and Wellness center on the East side of the road. Jade Communications has been contacted and is arriving to fix the cut cable. At this time there is no ETR for this issue but this notice will be updated when additional information is received.
