Network: Network outage in building 11A (Athletic Field House West) on the Boca Raton Campus due to loss of light on the fiber uplink.

We are currently working on an interim solution.

Network upgrades to cause partial telephone outages On Monday, December 19, 2011, between 6:00 am and 7:00 am On Monday, December 19, 2011, between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, IRM will upgrade a core link to the telephone system in building T-6 on the Boca Raton campus. This upgrade will cause an interruption to the telephone systems in buildings 69, the Baldwin House, and the “T” buildings on the FAU Boca Raton campus. Please be advised that calls to the buildings mentioned above may require dialing a seven or ten digit number. In case of an emergency during this period, the FAU Police Department can be reached at 561-271-5163 If you experience telephone difficulties after the dates or times outlined above, please call CSI Support Services at 561-297-6235 or contact the FAU help desk at http://www.fau.edu/helpdesk/ or 561-297-3999 for immediate assistance.

This upgrade will cause an interruption to the network and telephone systems on the FAU Boca Raton campus. Please be advised that calls between campuses as well as off campus calls may require dialing a seven or ten digit number. We experienced a switch outage from 8:36 to 8:41 in the FAU Boca Raton data center. The issue has been resolved.
