Emergency Internet Maintenance from Midnight until 6:00 am on 4/13 and 4/14
Due to emergency third-party fiber maintenance from the vendor that provides Internet and network connectivity to FAU, there will be work performed that will sporadically affect connectivity to the campus from midnight until 6:00 a.m. on 4/13 and 4/14. We are making efforts to ensure that services are available as much as possible through the maintenance by utilizing backup internet connections and disaster recovery procedures. However, there may be intermittent and sporadic losses of connectivity due to the nature of the outage.

Just after midnight tonight, between 12:01 am and 6:00 am, OIT will perform an emergency update to the network router on the Boca Raton campus. This update will cause an interruption to the data and telephone networks. [Completed] Network maintenance on March 9 from 12:01 am – 4:00 am
OIT will be performing network maintenance on Wednesday, March 9 from 12:01 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users may experience intermittent Internet outages lasting approximately 15 minutes during this window. The Internet connection will be rerouted to the backup connection to minimize any downtime.

Telephone system emergency upgrade
Starting Monday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 9, 2016 between the hours of 9:00 pm and 6:00 am, the Communications Infrastructure team will begin upgrading the VoIP telephones at all campus locations. During this time the phones will require a fifteen-minute reboot after receiving the upgrade. [resolved] Jupiter campus Internet issue
The Internet provider on the Jupiter campus has restored the fiber. Internet traffic in Jupiter is now utilizing the proper path.
