Central Authentication Service must be restarted to improve Blackboard reliability. Users may experience approximately 1 minute of service interuption.
We are currently experiencing a problem affecting the Graduate Admissions Application and some parts of the FAU home page. Systems is working to resolve the issue and we will update this notice soon.
ePrint is experiencing an abnormally high load and this is resulting in some errors. We will update you as soon as we know more.
ePrint was successfully updated and is now avialable.
Windows patches have been installed on hvdav01, hvjup01, and medadmission-vm. All services have been restored.
The maintenance of sso.fau.edu has been completed.
The sharepoint issues have been resolved, and traced back to a failed server. We will continue to monitor the machine for issues.
12:04 pm: Sharepoint.fau.edu is now online but running very slowly. We are continuing to investigate the problem and will update this post hourly.
11:52 am: Sharepoint.fau.edu is currently returning a 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR when accessed by clients. We are currently investigating.
The Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/31/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: Thursday May 31th 2012, 6:00 am – 7:00 am

Description of maintenance:
We will be deploying the Microsoft System Center Operations Management agent to all desktop and laptop computers contained within the \Boc\22_CM organizational unit of the irm.ad.fau.edu domain. In summary this will uninstall Symantec Antivirus, install Microsoft Forefront End Point Protection and point the desktop to use a new Windows Update server that includes a more inclusive set of updated packages.
User impact: Users may see a small green square in their system tray, please do not be alarmed this is the Forefront icon and indicates that your system is protected. If you notice a red square please contact the Help Desk. Also, some computers which have not in the past received windows updates may alert that updates are available.

Description of maintenance: Part one of the Exchange 2012 to Exchange 2012 SP2 upgrade. Systems will be upgrading the inactive Exchange servers from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2010 SP2

Description of maintenance: Part two of Exchange 2012 to Exchange 2012 SP2 upgrade. Systems will first move all users to the machines upgraded on Wednesday Morning and then proceed with upgrading the remaining servers to Exchange 2010 SP2.
