We are currently experiencing problems with telephone service on the Jupiter campus. Our vendor has been notified and is working to identify the cause of the problem.

There is an issue with devices in building 96 (New Engineering) getting DHCP IP addresses. Networking is aware of the issue and working diligently to determine the cause and make corrections.

We will be replacing the network equipment in MC-03 (Student Resources & Classroom Building) on the MacArthur campus in Jupiter on Thursday May 12, 2011. The network in that building will be offline from 6:00pm until 2:00am.

On Saturday May 7th 2011 from 5:00am to 7:00am CSI will be performing telephone system maintenance that will interrupt telephone service on the Jupiter Campus. Other Northern campuses may experience intermittent outages. All off campus calls originating from the Northern campuses may require dialing a seven or ten digit number for all off campus calls. If you are trying to reach the Northern campuses, the ten digit number might be required. In the event of an emergency the FAU police department can be reached at 561-297-3500 by using a cellular or other non-FAU phone, and local police can be reached by Dialing 911 from a cellular or other non-FAU-phone. On Friday May 6th 2011 starting at 6:00pm through 9:00pm CSI will be performing system upgrades to our telephone system. During this time phones located on the Boca Campus Buildings 96 (COE),97 (CU), and peer campus phones at HBOI, and Davie West building will be out of service. Today’s Blackboard maintenance is taking longer than expected, however, we are hopeful that access will return no later than 8pm, Thursday December 23rd.

Please be advised that the following systems will be unavailable on Dec. 23 during the maintenance window:

Between 3:00am and 4:00am MyFAU, Self-Service, and Banner INB

Between 4:00am and 9:00am Blackboard Portals (we will be applying Blackboard Service Pack3). Blackboard will probably be up before 9:00am, but just in case we run into issues with the installation.

MyFAU is experiencing sporadic problems logging in. We are looking into and keep all updated. We are currently restarting its individual portals to see if this alleviates some of the problems.
