Banner production unavailable during Fiscal Year End Roll Phase II –COMPLETED

The Fiscal Year End Roll Process Phase II is running a bit longer than expected. As a result Banner Production FAUP is expected to be up at 11:45 am.

Banner production unavailable during Fiscal Year End Roll Phase II

The Fiscal Year End Roll Process Phase II is running a bit longer than expected.  As a result Banner Production FAUP is expected to be up at 11:45 am.
This is a reminder that Banner production FAUP will be unavailable from 4:00 am to 11:45 am Friday 1 Aug 2014 in order to complete Phase II of the fiscal year end roll process.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 24 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/24/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Affected Services: There are no anticipated user/service impact
Affected Systems: ​Banner Production (FAUP)
Description of Maintenance:  ​The following updates will be installed in Banner production: Faculty Advisor Self-Service – 8.5.4 upgrade, Faculty Advisor Self-Service – 8.5.4.1 patch, Faculty Advisor Self-Service – 8.5.4.3 patch, Faculty Advisor Self-Service — 8.6 upgrade, Faculty Advisor Self-Service – 8.6.0.2 patch
User Impact: ​There are no anticipated user/service impact

Affected Services: VIP document management system
Affected Systems: vip.fau.edu​, more specifically, fulltext.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance:  ​We are converting the frontend physical server responsible for the VIP document management system to a virtual one to allow for better management and flexibility.
User Impact: Registrar’s office and other groups who rely on the scanned images stored within VIP.​

User Impact: There will be no user impact

Affected Services: VIP Document Management System
Affected Systems: ​vip.fau.edu, (fulltext.fau.edu)

Affected Systems: enzo.fau.edu (oracleapps.fau.edu)
Description of Maintenance: Appworx production database (APWXP) will be upgraded from Oracle 10g to 11g.​
User Impact: Production ​Appworx jobs will not be executed during the down time.

When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected Services: ​R25, Sharepoint, Talisma, Talon, IEA Web and Data, certain networking servers, EMS, MSSQL1&2.
Affected Systems: Approximately 40 servers
Description of Maintenance: Systems is moving all computer objects belonging to OIT servers from the 22_CM OU to the OIT OU. This is being done so that the 22_CM OU can be used for end-user computer objects only.
User Impact: This move should not cause any disruptiuon of services.
