SMTP server smtpsec unavailable on Sept 6, 2012 between 5:00AM and 6:00AM

The SMTP server smtpsec will be unavailable due to maintenance.  Users who have email clients configured with smtpsec will not be able to send during this time.

Update – Issues in Blackboard When Importing Previous Content

UPDATE: Blackboard has provided a patch. We plan to test the patch locally on Tuesday and then apply it before classes begin on Wednesday morning. If you require immediate assistance please submit a helpdesk ticket online at http://www.fau.edu/helpdesk, we will assist you in modifying the course structure to work around the problem.

Update – Blackboard Bboogle Tool Experiencing Intermittent Issues

The issue with the Bboogle tool that caused instructors to be unable to open linked files and receive error messages has been resolved; however, please be aware that tool is designed to only allow users to share and edit files that were created within Google Apps. Files (such as Word, PPT, Excel) that are imported into your Google Drive from your desktop will currently appear on the list of documents that you may link to using Bboogle but you and your students will receive an error when you try to access them. We are working to resolve this issue and we apologize for the inconvenience.
