A directory server that provided authentication to Blackboard, Owl Apps and SSO.fau.edu failed last night and users may have experienced difficulty logging into Blackboard, Owl Apps and SSO.fau.edu between 4am and 5:45am this morning.
At this time everything should be working 100%
Network: Firewall Reboot tomorrow 2/3/2012 at 5am
We need to reboot the edge firewall tomorrow morning. We will start the reboot at 5am. It should just take a few minutes.
This will affect Internet access for the minutes the firewall takes to boot.
During our System Maintenance the Wiki tool had to be reinstalled. The Wiki tool is working fine and no data was lost, but it appears that some Course and Tool Links to the Wikis area may have been broken. Links may need to be deleted and recreated in those cases.
We have experienced an issue where eprint.fau.edu exhausted its’ memory and necessitated a reboot. The system has returned to service now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 01/19/2011 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

The Blackboard database was unavailable from approximately 12-2am on Wednesday, January 11. During that time users may have received intermittent error messages when trying to access files within their courses and in some cases may have been unable to log into Blackboard. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Starting Tuesday 12/13/2011 Networking Dept. will be upgrading the network equipment in Bldg 55 PS Physical Science Building. The work will be done during the maintenance window 5:00am to 7:00am. No network outage is expected during normal business hours. Work will be completed Friday 12/16/2011.
