As part of their recovery efforts from this past weekend’s outage, Sonic foundry will be re-indexing FAU’s Mediasite site beginning 12AM 1/31/2019.
During this time, search based catalogs (which includes the majority of lecture capture classes), may show no content. This is temporary and the presentations will automatically re-appear when the process is complete. This process is scheduled to take a several hours and should be completed by 6AM 1/31/2019
Cloud services have been restored, and at this time we do not anticipate any further disruptions
Restoration of the services did require restoring from a prior database backup for the site. You may need to re-publish MDR recordings made in the last 48 hours that are missing.

The scheduled maintenance that began at 12:01AM last night resulted in performance issues in the environment. Some sites on the environment are currently offline. Engineers are investigating and restoring services as quickly as possible. We will send out another notice when the situation has been fully resolved and/or as more details become available.
The degraded Mediasite service has been resolved.
Mediasite is reporting degraded service across all their services. OIT is monitoring the situation. Users can expect possible intermittent slowness or error messages while video continues to play.

This maintenance requires taking the environment offline, and as such Mediasite will not be available during this window. We do not expect any downtime before or after the designated window.
The MYFAU issue has been resolved.

Occasionally when reaching a page on MYFAU, you may receive a “502 Bad Gateway”. We are looking into the issue and hope to have more information soon. In the meantime, refreshing the page seems to clear up the problem and allow you to load the page.

This maintenance includes upgrading the environment to the latest Mediasite release, and as such Mediasite may not be available during this window. The Mediasite Cloud Team will be performing maintenance on Mediasite Cloud Servers during our scheduled maintenance window on December 8th between 1:01AM EST and 5:00AM EST. This maintenance requires taking the environment offline, and as such Mediasite will not be available during this window. We do not expect any downtime before or after the designated window. OIT will continue to monitor the process and update the university community as needed.
Office of Information Technology will be performing systems maintenance Monday November 26th, 2018 from 3:00 am until 7:00 am.

Single sign-on (SSO)
Description of change: OIT will upgrade the Single Sign-On system as part of our identity management upgrade.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: sso.fau.edu, grouper.fau.edu, all SSO clients including Banner Self Service, Workday, Canvas, and many others.
Affected systems: Single Sign On Servers, Grouper
Expected End-user impact: During this time, some users may experience issues logging into numerous single sign-on authenticated services. Groups sync’s will be delayed while an initial sync is performed.
