Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/15/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of maintenance: FAU’s web base authentication system will be upgraded to provide additional security features such as Two Factor Authentication, improved user session termination and improved reliability. In addition all expired user passwords will be extended between 30 to 180 days. This will allow users time to respond to the password expiration warnings before they are force to change their password.
User impact: Users may need to refresh their browsers and possibly clear their browser cache.

Description of maintenance: The following updates will be installed in Banner production: Student 8.5.8– 8.6.0–8.6.1–8.6.2–8.6.3 upgrades. Student, 8.5.8, and 8.6.0 patches.  Financial 8.20 upgrade. Financial Aid Self Service 8.20 Upgrade.
User impact: There will be no user downtime

Affected Services: IDM production, Luminis production (MyFAU), Phonebill app, Report Caster production, IEA Production database IEAP, Middleware production MSOP instance.
Affected Systems: boc22ora01, boc22ora03,boc22ora05 , mcoracle, nwrdcora01.
User Impact: Affected services will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
Reason: Oracle database patch set updates and host patch installations

Blackboard will be intermittently unavailable from 4-6 AM due to necessary maintenance.

We will be performing emergency maintenance on the blackboard servers.  Blackboard service will be unavailable between 4 and 6 Am on April 12th 2014.

The Network maintenance scheduled from 2:00 – 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 has been successfully completed.
