Intermittent Blackboard Grade Center issues

Some instructors are experiencing errors when attempting to access the Grade Center in their course.  We are currently working with Blackboard to resolve this issue.  For details on how to resolve the problem please visit the Known Issues Module within Blackboard.

resolved – network outage affecting one switch in building 22

We experienced a network switch outage that affected one data switch in building 22. The switch outage was from 1:42 pm through 1:47 pm. The issue has been resolved.

Exchange and Firewall Modifications

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve performance of MS Exchange, on Sunday, January 20 between 3:00 am and 6:00 am additional system will be added to the Exchange cluster. Users will experience intermittent connectivity issues during this period.

On Monday, Jan 21 from 3:00 am to 6:00 am, FAU core firewall will be receiving patch upgrade. This may cause intermittent network outage.

Exchange Issue Resolved

Several users have reported connectivity issue to Microsoft Exchange mail and calendar. We have identified and resolved the issue which was related to an active mail server at FAU remote site. Emergency Exchange Maintenance Scheduled Wednesday January 9th from 6:00a.m. until 6:30a.m.

OIT will be performing maintenance to the Exchange email systems between 6:00a.m. and 6:30a.m. tomorrow morning. During the maintenance, Exchange may be briefly unavailable at times. These changes are expected to resolve widespread reports of slowness and freezes among Exchange users.
